In my first print on demand store, I sold Christian t-shirts. I didn’t really know what I was doing but I was good at design and my brother Mario Menduni ran ads for me while I was living and traveling in Thailand for a year.
The photo in this post is me in Thailand on a long tail boat!
It
was enough at the time - good side hustle money! Living expenses were low for me then, I was living off $2 pad thai and in a super cheap apartment in Phuket.
It was my first true taste of living as a digital nomad.
I came home from Thailand to visit my mom - thinking I was getting on another flight right back to Southeast Asia...
But then I met Caleb and fell in love!
The first few years of our relationship, we traveled job to job for him.
He was working as an industrial pipefitter - working long hours repairing and building refineries.
I started my second print on demand store during COVID.
Caleb was working 7 days a week, 13 hours a day - with only one day off every two weeks.
We didn’t get much time together.
As that store grew, we took a leap of faith and Caleb quit his pipefitter job. Mario and I bought him a laptop and he came to work with us.
It's been three years and our life is bigger than I ever could have imagined.
I sell on multiple platforms and have a team of VAs creating products for me and handling customer service.
We were able to buy a new truck, travel full time in our RV (travel where we want to, not where the next job is,) and grow our family coaching business.
Caleb and I get to spend our days together - working, traveling, adventuring.
We’ve spent three months in Italy this year!
If I had never started taking this opportunity seriously, I know our life would still be blessed. I know the value of hard work, a simple life with the one you love. But I am so, so grateful I took this leap and believed in my ability.
The most limited resource is time and selling Print on Demand has given us so much time back that our “normal” life was robbing us of. Time to adventure together, time to visit our families more, time to experience everything this big, beautiful world has to offer.
There’s nothing inherently special about me. I just committed to my dream.
What’s your dream?
